Immediate opening for an Experienced Chef needed for the Daughters of Miriam Center, New Jersey’s five star Nursing Home facility loctated in Clifton New Jersey.

Experienced cooking skills (including a minimum of 2 years as a chef or first cook), excellent personal hygiene and ServSafe Certification is required. Being comfortable and respectful while working with an elderly population and a diversified staff of union and nonunion employees a must.

Computer, inventory and purchasing knowledge required. This is a five day position with most alternate weekends off. Will consider Chefs of any background. Healthcare and knowledge of kosher food service is not mandatory but valuable. I

Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services

St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton NJ currently has a position available for an Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services.

This is a full time position with benefits.
Major responsibilities include:

  • Full responsibility for the overall success and budget attainment for the Department of Food and Nutrition Services at St. Francis Medical Center.
  • Responsible for a budget of 2M+ dollars
  • 125+ bed acute care hospital
  • Retail operations providing approximately 40,000 covers per month
  • Catering (in-house and off premise)
  • Meals on wheels program
  • Participates in all identified committees to include Joint Committee readiness
  • Responsibility and oversight of all departmental Quality Improvement Initiatives
  • Is a current member or involvement with at least one professional organization in related field (ADA, ASHFSA, HFM, DMA, ACTF)
  • Current with Serv-Safe Certification
  • Provides job specific orientation and ongoing training to all Food & Nutrition Services staff, current and new
  • Addresses identified issues, mentors associates, initiates changes to procedures/policies when necessary and promotes/documents staff accountability as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all aspects of departmental operations including but not limited to patient services, production, catering and retail operations function in a manner that enhances patient and customer satisfaction as well as providing optimal efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Attends at least one seminar per year to keep current on trends and regulations in Healthcare foodservices.
  • Position is part of a larger management structure and reports directly to the Corporate Director of Food & Nutrition Services for Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Management team includes: Executive Chef, 2 Dietitians, 4 Supervisors and 27 Fte’s.

  • Responsible to ensure all associates are SERV-SAFE certified including maintaining records for associates

Marketing Manager

Well established medical products distribution company is seeking a Marketing Manager to join a growing sales and technical support team and be responsible for the marketing expansion of a new software driven labeling solution into the Healthcare market.

MedVantage is a 20+ year business selling labeling systems into Healthcare.  The successful launch, and subsequent business growth, of an innovative labeling solution to Healthcare Foodservice and its software adaption to another medical department warrants a new position within the company to expand the product to other medical departments through our Inside Sales group.  A successful candidate will be self-motivated, self-managing, well-organized, personable, team oriented and result driven.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Identify new applications within Healthcare departments.
  • Develop business value, sales, and support requirements.
  • Work with Director Product Management to develop software applications/product market needs.
  • All outbound activities generating product awareness to include mail campaigns, trade show activity, literature, and sales support for successful launch.
  • Will eventually assume additional marketing responsibilities of other existing products.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of successful product marketing experience.
  • Comfortable with contacting customers and making field visits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing effective “Marketing Message” for custom focused products.

Plus Skills:

  • Knowledge of direct thermal/thermal transfer printers.
  • Experience in marketing/selling products to the Healthcare industry.

Compensation:

  • $65,000 to $75,000 Base plus 30% Bonus Plan to start.
  • Opportunity for compensation advancement to proven individual.

Reports to President of company, works closely with Director Product Management, Sales Manager, Technical Support Manager, and Administrative Manager.
