As an integral member of our leadership team, you will oversee the daily operations of our Department of Food and Nutrition Services, including cost-based initiatives, while ensuring departmental performance is in compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Credentialing Agency Standards of Performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing and managing all departmental activities in clinical nutrition, procurement, production and provision of food, as well as customer service
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Establishing policies, procedures, objectives and goals
  • Managing departmental finances and budgeting
  • Directing staff, credentialing, in-service training and competency evaluations
  • Handling other management related functions

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
  • 10 years of food service management experience, or at least 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Manager, within a healthcare facility
  • Direct experience with supervisory techniques and methods
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution, decision-making, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive customer, patient and management relations
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • PC proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
